HHS Improvements, Coupon Codes, new automations, walk-in patients, insurance documents, new notifications filters and more!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!! ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿงง๐Ÿ‰

The Health History Summary (HHS) has a bunch of improvements including the ability to "sort by drawings" and "sort by images" for those who like to draw or upload photos. You can even search by "tags" such as "tongue" or "complexion" to see those relevant photos. New "chapter markers" allow you to access data even quicker. A new expanded look (click the arrow icon) allows you to see the HHS full screen.

Upcoming Appointment Notification! A cool new notification for staff that flashes a message on the screen so many minutes before it starts. Try it out in Settings>Notifications>Staff Notifications.

Go to Settings>Billing>Coupon Codes to set some up and then give them to your patients as promo codes to apply to services (and soon products). Decide an expiration date and configure how they are used.

Practice notifications (the bell icon!) have a whole set of new "filters" now so you can show and hide just the notifications you like. Try them out, these make the page so much more helpful!

Make "automations" with Custom Indexes to send them to patients in the portal based on actions like what service they book for appointments. You can already do this for Patient Health Forms and now you can do this for indexes alone.

Patients can now download all invoices and superbills in bulk! Before they could view and download them one by one, but now they can download a single PDF (with a date range) of everything from the "finances" page of the portal just like staff can.

We added a new cancellation reason - "Staff had to cancel, no fee or warning" because that happens sometimes and their smart "missed apt counter" now won't get dinged ๐Ÿ˜Š

Get patients in even quicker with the new "walk-in" feature. Hover over "Patients" in the menu and then click "Add patient (walk in)" and hand-off your device so patients can do everything on their own, no staff interaction needed!

Staff may upload insurance-related documents such as EOBs and ERAs or denial letters directly into the patient's insurance profiles now.

Need an insurance biller or consultant?

Janetta Scherff has amazing skills, years of experience and she loves dogs! We'll admit, that last part helped us hire her. If you're needing help, consider meeting with her for a free consult. Her dog Angel might say hi to you if you're lucky!

Some other noteworthy updates

  • Notification fatigue is real, so we've taken steps to "combine notifications" into fewer emails with the action items ("confirm appointment, pay now," etc) listed together so patients get the fewest possible notifications. Our notifications have an exceptional deliverability rate โœจ

  • Insurance Authorizations now show when making an appointment alongside the treatment plans because it's so helpful to know.

  • There are links to the "Purchase Packages" page and "eGift Card" page of your portal to include in emails and promotions, encouraging patients to purchase them. You can find them on the respective settings pages.

  • Next time patients book, we've got a handy message telling them the last time they had an appointment. Maybe now we could show them their 'treatment plan' as well when scheduling to prompt them to book in alignment with it. Sounds like a new feature incoming! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • We now smartly "archive" all of the Patient Health Forms and Policies that patients have signed or completed in the portal, tucking them away so patients can see the forms they still need to complete up top.

Incoming Product Updates:

  • Let patients log in with Google to streamline their onboarding.

  • Patients don't have email? Not a problem, we're going to allow sending of registration and all forms through SMS alone!

  • Availity Integration - We've received numerous requests, we just wish they were easier to deal with! We're almost there.

  • Take photos with a QR Code and have them delivered into intakes... This one's going to be cool.

  • A new smart "Patient Retention Report

  • Custom demographics questions.

  • Put a QR Code in your Waiting Room and let patients "check themselves in". You'll get a notification instantly in case you're in another room and don't have a receptionist!

  • Integration with Physitrack to create custom exercise videos for patients.
